First Unitarian Church of Des Moines – A 2009 UUA Breakthrough Congregation
First Unitarian Church of Des Moines was selected as one of four 2009 Breakthrough Congregations by the Unitarian Universal Association (UUA). We were invited to present the story of our journey to becoming an exceptional congregation at UUA’s annual General Assembly in Salt Lake City in June. We are proud of this accomplishment, but this is a beginning for us. We continue our quest for excellence as we strive to become a place of sanctuary and inspiration for the religious seekers who choose to join with us.
