6:15 to 6:30 pm: Worship

6:30: Programming begins.

Movie Night: Hey documentary lovers, join us on Wednesday evenings for a new movie every week. "Who Killed the Electric Car?" is shown on March 5.  In 1996, electric cars began to appear on roads all over California.  They were quiet & fast, produced no exhaust & ran without gasoline.  Ten years later, these cars were destroyed.  We’ll discuss the movie afterwards, time permitting; facilitated by Mark Campbell.  Movie selections for the rest of the month will be found in the weekly Order of Service and E-mail.

Meditation Group: Join Gary Keast and Denise Daniels for a weekly mediation group.  Details on page 12.  Beginners and experienced practitioners are welcome.

Singing Circle: Join Donna Wallace and Sally Boeckholt for informal singing of chants, folk songs and hymns. No experience necessary—just a love for singing.

Chalice Choir:  For young people 2nd grade and older, continuing in March and April.  See details on Youth Choirs.

Effective Parenting – A Facilitated Discussion:  Join other parents, grandparents and caring adults in a lively discussion of parenting issues in the 21st century.  What are your issues? Saying “no” when the kids are saying, “everyone else is going/has one/gets to?”  Setting expectations and sticking to them? How to discipline when expectations aren’t met?  Bring your questions and concerns to our first gathering on Wednesday, March 26.  We’ll meet at 6:30 p.m, giving you time to attend the 5:30 pm dinner (details above).  At the end of this session we will choose several topics to focus on during subsequent sessions.  We won’t meet again for several weeks, during which time everyone, including your facilitator, will have a chance to reflect on the topics, make note of what’s worked (or not) for you and locate anything you’ve read that you’ve found helpful.  We will convene again on April 30 and meet weekly through May 21.  Barb Royal will be your discussion leader, and brings her background as a parent, a child, a counselor, and an experienced group facilitator.  Childcare and children’s programming are available.
