The church year will focus
on a blend of three curricula:
-
The Gospel According to The
Simpsons. The
television show, The Simpsons, went from being a program
panned by many religious leaders for promoting a lack of ethical
family values, to becoming one of the most theologically
relevant prime time programs. The Gospel According to the Simpsons has been
taught for credit in colleges and is very popular with UU
adolescents across the United States.
-
The New
You the Creator is
an activity-based program of creative empowerment. Every lesson
is packed with creative activities like role-plays, continuums,
drawing, photography, sculpting, constructing spaghetti bridges,
designing perfect pets, and making gods, goddesses, and more
creative people. The theme of spirituality also touches every
session.
-
Listening
