Memorial Garden 2000-2003 Start to Dedication
The Memorial Garden is located on the east side of the Church near the front entrance. The Memorial Garden walk winds through the garden and contains paving bricks and 8x8 inch granite plaques with the names of loved ones inscribed. The center of the Walk is a circle -- "The Circle of Life" -- and makes a lovely place for gatherings for weddings, meditation and memorial services.

Friday, August 1, 2003, the Windbreakers sponsored an evening with the Boys of Summer -- the Iowa Cubs.

Ice Cream Social / Build Your Own Sundae

Sunday, August 3rd, 2003, The Thursday Night SGM sponsored a benefit for the Memorial Garden.

Installation of Mark Stringer

On Sunday, November 4, 2001,  First Unitarian Church of Des Moines installed the Reverend Mark Stringer as its new settled minister.
