The New York Times 1619 Project includes a series of seven podcasts ranging in length from 30 – 45 minutes. We will listen to them on six consecutive Monday evenings starting on March 1 at 6:30 pm, and we will have another 30 to 45 minutes to share our reflections. We will end by 8 pm each evening.
The coordinator of this project, Nikole Hannah-Jones, is an Iowa native, graduating from Waterloo West in 1994. She will be virtually delivering the Sussman Lecture on April 8th. This lecture series is coordinated through the Harkin Institute located at Drake University.
If you are interested, please complete this form by Saturday, February 27.
* 1619 is the title of the series, NOT the # of podcasts! Actual # of podcasts is 7; the intro podcast is just 4 minutes long.
