July – September:  Prepare and release Congregational Survey

Prior to September 1:  Board of Trustees (BOT) appoints BOT and congregation representative to the Negotiating Team.

Fall: Cottage Meetings with congregations to receive input

Prior to October 15:  BOT meets with UUA Compensation Consultant to develop the minister’s compensation and benefit package.

October – November:

Negotiating Team recommends contract and compensation to BOT

“Beyond Categorical Thinking” Workshop

November 1:  “Letter from the Interim Minister” due to MSC

November:  Congregational Record assembled by MSC and reviewed by Transition Coach. Congregational Record then made visible.

December 1:  Congregational Record & ministerial “packet” posted for prospective candidates to view

December:  MSC conducts mock interviews with Interim Minister to prepare for interviewing ministerial candidates


January – March:  Select ministerial pre-candidates, conduct interviews, set-up and attend neutral pulpit sermons.

March 28:  Candidate offer made

March 28 – early April:  Contract negotiations, background checks

Early April:  Candidate announced

April 28 – May 5:  Candidating Week

May – June:  Congregation submits Notice of Call to UUA

August 1:  New Settled Senior Minister arrives!
