What is it?

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). In 2018, from June 20-24, GA will be in Kansas City, MO. Through workshops, lectures, sermons, social justice actions, & just hanging out, we connect with UUs from around the world, and open our eyes to new ways of thinking about our life as a congregation and our own paths. And it’s a TON OF FUN!

Who can attend? And how do you sign up?

Anyone may attend GA, but you must be a member to be a voting delegate.*

  • STEP 1: Make a housing reservation – hotels near the convention center fill quickly!
  • STEP 2: Decide if you want to reduce or avoid the registration fee by volunteering or getting a scholarship – applications for these will be accepted thru March 31. See applications online.
  • STEP 3: Register for GA – rates will go up May 1.

*Delegates can debate & vote in plenary sessions to shape the agenda for the UUA in years to come. (See below for information on being a delegate)

Being an Official Delegate to GA is FUN!
If you would like to be one of our 10 delegates to GA, please pick up an application form at the display in the Gathering Area or print an fill out the GA Delegate Application for 2018. Delegate applications must be turned in by Sunday, April 8. If you have questions about what it means to be a delegate, ask someone who has done this before (most of the people listed on the display who are going this year have been a delegate before).
