AMOS: Community Organizing As A Method for Social Change (or: There’s More to Politics than the Presidential Election)

Our church has been a member of AMOS (A Mid-Iowa Organizing Strategy) since 2002. What is AMOS about? What does it mean to use the tools of community organizing for social change? How can we approach the issues we care about using these tools and actually change things for the better?
Join AMOS’ new organizer, Courtney Dufford, and members of the First Unitarian AMOS Core Team for an exploration of organizing and an opportunity to practice what you learn.
Saturday, February 1 @ 9:00-11:30 am, Channing Hall
Please RSVP by 1/29/20 to Sally Boeckholt if you need child care.
