Part-time 3 hours per week (One Sunday Morning/Quarter); September- May
The Children’s Music Coordinator develops and teaches age appropriate music programs for preschool- elementary age children. They will lead two classes on Wednesday evenings, September – May, making joyous music and learning Unitarian Universalist songs together.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides engaging age-appropriate lessons that allow children opportunities to express themselves musically and engage the children with age-appropriate Unitarian Universalist music
- Rehearses and directs the children in singing in the service – approximately four times a year
- Communicates with registered children’s families
- Maintain regular communication with Director of Faith Formation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed:
Professional training in music desired, although not required; understanding of Unitarian Universalist values; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teaching skills; desire for engaging with children musically.
