(Curbside) Comfort Food Cook-Off Dishes Up Support for Homeless Families

You’re invited to taste delicious home-cooked dishes prepared by First Unitarian’s own Elaine Imlau and other congregations’ talented cooks competing in the 2020 Family Promise of Greater Des Moines (Curbside) Comfort Food Cook-Off!
In an effort to adhere to safety guidelines, this year’s event will offer food pick-upcurbside at West Des Moines Christian Church on Sunday, November 8. Purchase tickets and register online for a time to pick up your seven (generous) samples—and dessert—to enjoy at home. Through Facebook Live, celebrity judges will choose the traveling Pot Trophy winner. A People’s Choice Award is given to the dish receiving the most online votes (i.e., donations). You don’t have to have actually sampled our dish to vote. All proceeds go toward helping families experiencing homelessness.
Tickets are $15.
