Faith Formation Overview

PANDEMIC UPDATE

These are crazy and confusing times, and we are with you in your sense of loss about the necessary changes to our Faith Formation programming. But there are some exciting communities happening for all ages in this new environment. Check out what’s being offered at Faith Formation Pandemic Style.

No matter your age or where you are on your life & spiritual journey, we think there’s always more to explore, and change is a constant. We offer programming from pre-K through adult; from learning for fun to learning for personal growth. And everyone has the potential to lead.

Collaborating with our Director of Faith Formation, Devon McClurken (she/her/hers), is our Faith Formation Council. Their joint goals are to develop programming that supports:

  • An enjoyment and appreciation of worship
  • Reverence for the sacred and all life
  • A rich and meaningful spiritual life
  • An enduring connection with Unitarian Universalism

Please Volunteer

Faith Formation would not exist without our volunteers! If you are a parent/grandparent/guardian of one or more children attending Faith Formation classes, or if you have a special knack for teaching and working with youth, we encourage you to sign up as a volunteer. Please contact Devon McClurken (she/her/hers), Director of Faith Formation, at dff@ucdsm.org.

If you have questions about any of our Faith Formation programming or have an idea for a class, please contact Director of Faith Formation Devon McClurken at dff@ucdsm.org.
