Sunday, January 26 @ 11:00 am, Channing Hall
Learn about patterns and trends in homelessness and affordable housing locally and across the state, including distribution of resources. Also learn of strategies that are being adopted to address homelessness in Iowa and elsewhere. We will discuss how our own Family Promise fits into the overall picture of homelessness and other possible steps we might consider if addressing homelessness were to become a major focus as a congregation.
This forum will be led by Tim Wilson, Executive Director of current Faith in Action partner agency Home Forward Iowa and Ehren Stover-Wright, Ph.D., Senior Analyst at the Institute for Community Alliances. Ehren serves on the Polk County Continuum of Care Board and Tim sits on the Iowa Council on Homelessness. Both are members of First Unitarian.
