Please join us at the church for apple cider and a discussion about Satoshi Kon’s anime masterpiece, “Tokyo Godfathers.” One Christmas Eve, three homeless people- a middle-aged alcoholic, a transgender woman, and a teenage runaway- discover an abandoned newborn while searching through garbage for presents. The trio sets out the find the baby’s parents. The movie can be streamed on Amazon Video and the Roku Channel, and is available on DVD from the Des Moines Public Library.
