Our January movie discussion will be at the Drake Diner on Sunday, January 8th, at 4:30 p.m. The movie is currently showing at the newly reopened Varsity Cinema. “Jeanne Dielman, 23, quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles” is about a lonely widowed housewife who does her daily chores and takes care of her apartment where she lives with her teenage son, and turns the occasional trick to make ends meet. Slowly, her ritualized daily routines begin to fall apart. The movie is in French with English subtitles, and is 202 minutes long. Reserve your seat at www.varsitydesmoines.com.
