Forum: Understanding & Successfully Navigating the Iowa Legislative Process for Social Justice Advocacy
This will be a helpful training session for all social justice groups and individuals wanting to better understand how the Iowa legislative process works and how to most effectively engage with Iowa legislators to advocate on social justice and other issues. Keenan Crow of One Iowa Action will share a wealth of knowledge and tips they have acquired from years of lobbying our state government. In addition to the general training, they will also provide updates about anticipated legislation in the 2026 session expected to impact the LGBTQ+ community, and especially the heavily targeted transgender community.
