Forum: Polk County Sustainability
John Norris has worked at all levels of government, primarily in agriculture and energy. He served as the Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Minister Counselor for Agriculture at the UN, Chairman of the Iowa Utilities Board, Commissioner on the Federal Energy Commission (FERC), Chief of Staff to Governor Vilsack and Congressman Leonard Boswell, and State Chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party. He is currently serving as the Polk County Administrator. John will talk about Polk County’s goals and program directions in the area of renewables and the smart grid.
