On May 7th, Buddhists the world over will celebrate the holy-day of Vesak, a momentous celebration which commemorates the Buddha’s birth, death, and enlightenment. This Sunday, join us in honoring Vesak with the Awakening Heart Sangha of First Unitarian Church of Des Moines. Members of the sangha will share what Buddhism and Vesak mean to them and their practice in the Plum Village Tradition of Thích Nhất Hạnh.
