Forum: Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ)
11:00 am. in Griffin Hall
SURJ is an organization that calls white people to commit to the fight for racial justice in ways that are accountable to people that are directly impacted by the racial disparities that are found in our educational, housing, medical, economic and criminal justice systems. In this session we’ll dive into the three levels of commitment that Des Moines SURJ breaks anti-racist work into: growing educationally, living as an ally, and disrupting as an accomplice. All these components invite you into active and ongoing engagement in the work of racial justice.
