Time to Plan for Annual UUA General Assembly

General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of our Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Through inspiring workshops, lectures, sermons, and social justice witness & actions, we connect with UUs from around the world, and open our eyes to new ways of thinking about our life as a congregation and our own paths. In business meetings, delegates shape the agenda for the UUA in the years to come.

This year GA is in Kansas City, MO, June 20-24. Anyone may attend GA, but you must be a member to be a voting delegate. Ask some of the people who’ve attended before why they find it so rewarding:  Heidi Levine, Barb Royal, Deidre Fudge, Mike & Karen Lauer, Harvey Harrison, Ellen Taylor, Sally Boeckholt, Ann Mowery, Linda Lemons, Tracy Beck, and both of our ministers, to name a few.

Early registration & housing signup begin March 1. Lodging near the convention center will fill quickly, so If you are considering going be sure to get your housing registration in on day one. Also beginning March 1, you can apply to volunteer at GA in exchange for free or reduced registration. Volunteer and financial aid applications will be accepted March 1 –31. If you plan to apply to volunteer do not register until after you have been notified of the status of your volunteer application.
