Wellspring: Crises of Life

UU Wellspring Reads: Crises of Life

The experiences, reflections and discussions strive to engage participants deeply in the opportunities for transformation offered by our Unitarian Universalist faith. Our work together will be personal, and heart centered. Throughout this experience we learn to rest in the love offered by those around us.

Link to Connection

In this program we combine Rev. Crow’s wisdom with the poetry and life experiences of Ross Gay, African American poet, educator and dedicated community gardener, to understand that even in oppressive situations beauty and delight offer us unparalleled joy.

During the six sessions we provide spiritual practices and writing exercises that encourage participants to open to their own inner voice, their personal narratives and to connections in our beloved communities. Throughout this experience we learn to rest in the love offered by those around us.

The sessions do require the purchase of two books; Take What You Need: Life Lessons After Losing Everything by Rev. Jen Crow and The Book of Delights by Ross Gay. In addition, each participant needs a hard copy or online journal.

Required Book:

  • Take What You Need: Life Lessons After Losing Everything by Rev. Jen Crow – available on Amazon. An ebook is available.
