Widening the Circle of Concern

Tuesday, October 6 @ 7 pm on Zoom

Over the last 5 years our UUA and its denominational leadership have begun to move in new directions. The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Commission on Institutional Change is “charged with supporting long-term cultural and institutional change that redeems the essential promise and ideals of Unitarian Universalism.”

Appointed by the UUA Board of Trustees in 2017 for a period of two years, the members of the COIC have finished their study and produced their final report, “Widening the Circle of Concern.”

This report is essential reading. Click here to purchase the book for $16 or Click here to read it free online.

Here at UCDSM we will be reading and discussing this report together. Depending on the depth and richness of our discussion, we may or may not require the entire 12 week period. The first week will be an introduction, and all are advised to read sections “Preface” through “Methodology” before attending that session.

Please join Rev. Amy Petrie Shaw on Zoom to explore this report. Our UUA depends on an informed and engaged denomination, and your voice and ideas should be heard.
