FORUM at 11:00 a.m. CT

The 8th Principle states: “We, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.”

More than 125 Unitarian Universalist (UU) congregations and communities have voted to include the 8th Principle and actively support change in their congregations to support it. The Article 2 Commission will include some form of the 8th Principle for a full vote of the General Assembly in 2023 and 2024.  Rev. Wolfe will share some history of how we came to this moment and where it will be going in the future.

Our presenter, Rev. Sunshine J. Wolfe,  is Congregational Field Staff for the Central East Region serving congregations in western Pennsylvania and across Ohio. Ghe hails originally from Indiana where ghe learned to sing, dance, and cause trouble- the social justice kind. Ghe is currently a member of TRUUsT (Transgender Religious professional Unitarian UniversalistS Together) and DRUUMM (Diverse Revolutionary Multicultural Ministries).
