This service is, unexpectedly, inspired by a meme, and grew into one congregant’s personal reflection on her own history of white privilege and culpability. Here is an examination of identity in the context of “Being a Karen,” with the hope that this reflection on failings and growth will encourage a broader reflection in all of us, our communities, and the ways we use and experience our power.
