As we seek to understand what justice is, let us notice how the concept has evolved. “Justice” used to mean, roughly, “the punishment deserved” — hence, the blessing of mercy sometimes granted relief from justice. Justice today is what we long for, not what we hope to escape from.

Forum: FreeStore; A Faith in Action Partner
Mike Smith has volunteered for the last 15 years at the FreeStore, a furniture bank charity for domestic abuse victims and others in desperate need of furniture and household furnishings. Mike will discuss how we can team with other FreeStore volunteers. Our members Sue Huber and Susan Seitz are also FreeStore volunteers.
