Forum: International Human Rights Day – Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
As our congregation considers the theme of transformation this month, join Linda Lemons & Heidi Lackmann in considering how the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) has transformed our world & impacted Unitarian Universalism. We will look back on the role Unitarians and Universalists played in creating the UDHR in 1948 and how the United Nations Charter and UDHR in turn became the basis for our original Article II Purposes and Objectives in 1961. We will also explore how UUs are continuing to move the UDHR forward as the common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.
