Grades 7-8 Our Whole Lives (OWL) Human Sexuality Curriculum Sign-up
Led by specially-trained volunteers, Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture. Grounded in a holistic view of sexuality, Our Whole Lives not only provides facts about anatomy and human development, but also helps participants clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the spiritual, emotional, and social aspects of sexuality. * First Unitarian will cap 7th & 8th Grade OWL classes at 12 participants, with priority given to First Unitarian member families. If a substantially higher number of participants is expected, the Faith Formation Coordinator will investigate the possibility of opening a second class at the same age level, or otherwise expanding the program temporarily or long-term.
