Cosy Sheridan has been called one of the era's finest and most thoughtful singer/songwriters. A winner of the Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Showcase and the Telluride Troubadour Contest, she has played everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Philadelphia Folk Festival. Her songs have appeared in best-selling author Robert Fulghum's book "Third Wish" and in the documentary "Lines Across The Sand."
Since she first appeared on the national scene in 1992, Sheridan has spent years continuing to hone her masterful guitar style (she was a student of Guy Van Duser and Eric Schoenberg), as well as her voice. Cosy’s concerts are now among the most entertaining and intelligent that you will hear on the singer/songwriter circuit today.
“Cosy Sheridan possesses an eccentric muse, or perhaps it possesses her. That’s all for the good as this muse leads her to exploriations to which other writhers are oblivious.” – Sing Out! Magazine
“She is a very funny and enourmously amiable entertainer with a keen and wicked ey for the excesses of our fast-food, TV-happy, and noisome culture.”
-- Scott Alarik, Author of “Deep Community: Adventures in the Modern Folk Underground”
"When she's accepting her Grammy, we can all say we knew her when." -- Folk Music Quarterly
